Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sharp of Senatobia announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Michele, to John Bill Gardner of Starkville. Mr. Gardner is the son of Christy Gardner of Warrenton, Ga.

Miss Sharp is the granddaughter of Timmie I. Fedell and the late Michel Fedell of Vicksburg and the late J.C. and Helen Sharp of Jackson.

Mr. Gardner is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood Johnson of Warrenton.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Senatobia High School. She graduated with honors from Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering.

Miss Sharp is pursuing a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Briarwood Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree in animal and dairy science from Mississippi State University.

Mr. Gardner is an assistant herdsman at MSU.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. June 19, 2010, at the Chapel of Memories in Starkville. A reception will follow at the Starkville Country Club. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
