Two Vicksburg cousins were in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with two residential burglaries.
Jamaro South, 21, 8649 U.S. 61 South, and Damon South, 30, 5211 Common Circle, were charged with the two house burglaries Thursday, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
The first, in the 1900 block of Baldwin Ferry Road, was reported around 4 p.m. Missing were a Fossil watch valued at $150, three pairs of Air Jordan shoes valued at $125 each, a Sony PlayStation Portable 3 valued at $120, an Xbox 360 valued at $350, a 32-inch Visio flat-screen television valued at $600 and a Panasonic television valued at $280.
The second burglary was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 1200 block of Mission 66. A 50-inch Sanyo television valued at $698, a Dell computer valued at $700, an Olympus camera valued at $150, a Garmin GPS system valued at $130 and two bottles of whiskey were reported missing.
Jamaro South was arrested on U.S. 61 South near Grange Hall Road after police spotted a vehicle matching the description of one seen in front of the house on Baldwin Ferry. Police linked him to the second burglary hours after his arrest when they found that some of the items found in the car he was driving fit the descriptions of those missing on Mission 66, Stewart said.
Damon South was arrested at his home late Thursday afternoon.
All items except the TVs were recovered.
Both men were being held without bond, awaiting initial court hearings, said Stewart.
