Neely to wed Richards in evening ceremony

The engagement of Claire Buckingham Neely of Dundee, Miss., to Kyle Russell Richards of Vicksburg is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 7, 2010, at Old Waverly Golf Club Garden in West Point. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Neely is the daughter of Charles Buckingham Neely and Leslie Rantzow Neely, both of Dundee. She is the granddaughter of Mary Buckingham Neely and the late Dr. Charles Lee Neely Jr. of Memphis and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carl Rantzow of Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
Mr. Richards is the son of Russell Wayne and Teresa McCain Richards of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Rita G. McCain and William D. McCain, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. John R. Richards, all of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, where she was a member of the basketball, volleyball and track and field teams, Thespian Society and National Art Honor Society.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication/public relations from Mississippi State University, where she served as an Orientation Leader and an officer for Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a member of the Fashion Board, SAIFD, SA and CAB.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he was on the baseball and basketball teams.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Mississippi State University, where he served as president of the Pre-Law Society.
Mr. Richards is employed with RSC Equipment Rental Sales and will attend Ole Miss Law School in August.
