Mr. Hernandez weds Hullum in Louisiana

Stephen Manuel Hernandez and Michele Virginia Hullum were married April 3, 2010, at Mayon’s on Miller Street in Prairieville, La. Pastor Paul Harris officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ted Hullum of Geismar, La. She is the granddaughter of Clara Wyatt of Elkton, Md.; Jones Wyatt of Geismar, formerly of West Grove, Pa.; and the late Jerroll and Edith Hullum of Vicksburg.
The groom is the son of Luis and Jackie Hernandez of Parachute, Colo., and Jaime and Suzie Mendoza of Hobbs, N.M. He is the grandson of Manuel Hernandez and the late Ella Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas, and David and Rose Lerma of Brownfield, Texas.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Nuptial music was presented by Sheily Bell. Flutist was Mindy Rose. Soloists were Justine James and Danielle Cummings.
Maid of honor was Allison James of Gonzales, La. Bridesmaids were Paige Bagala of Geismar and Jodi Cooper of Baker, La.
Ryan LeBlanc of Baton Rouge served as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Buillion and Matt Gautreau, both of Prairieville.
Ushers were Danny Doung and Mark Larmeau, both of Baton Rouge; Garrett Buillion of Prairieville; and Derek James of Gonzales.
Flower girl was Maddie Crain of Lagrange, Ga. Ring bearer was J.J. Beall of Vicksburg.
Special wedding assistant was Becky Rogers.
A reception followed the ceremony. Reception assistants were friends from Dutchtown Baptist Church.
Following a honeymoon cruise in the western Caribbean, the couple will make their home in Baton Rouge. The bride is a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she is majoring in family and consumer science. The groom is employed in the IT Department at McDonald’s of Baton Rouge.

The bride and groom were honored with several showers, which were hosted by Jane Everett, Allison James, Justine James, Linda Gibson, Sue Hullum and Katherine Brier.
