Warriors rip Flashes

On a bitterly cold Wednesday night at Balzli Field, St. Aloysius goalkeeper Michael Stuart was the busiest man on the pitch.

He made spectacular save after save, but it wasn’t enough as St. Frederick (Monroe, La.) beat the Flashes 4-1 thanks to a hat trick by Caleb Williams.

The key was Stuart’s work with a goalkeeper coach, which after one session appeared to be paying off.

“His play has changed more than any goalkeeper I’ve ever coached,” St. Al coach Jason Hopkins said. “In the past two games, he’s been very consistent and we’re hoping he’ll continue to play at that level.”
