Regarding the Feb. 22 story about police in other Mississippi cities ending or limiting funeral escorts, I, for one, sincerely appreciate the police escorts for our funerals. I have always found their presence very comforting, very respectful. And I hope we continue that lovely tradition as long as possible.

I even feel better about myself when I pull over to the curb for a passing funeral. It is the least we can do.
