Beards celebrate 50th

D.C. and Pat Beard will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday. They were married Dec. 23, 1960.
The Beards were honored Saturday with a reception attended by family and friends. They have two sons, David Beard and Melvin Beard, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
