Mr. Lofton, Miss Nail are married

Thomas David “Tommy” Lofton Jr. and Angela Lauren “Angie” Nail were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Fairview Inn in Jackson. The Revs. Steven Speed Bryant and Homer Bernard Nail, grandfather of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Peggy Jones Nail of Brandon and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Renee Nail of Jackson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Jones of Pearl and the Rev. and Mrs. Homer Bernard Nail of Brandon.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas David Lofton Sr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Huson Lofton Sr. and the late Mr. Lofton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Edwin Carter, all of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were olive green and chocolate. Nuptial selections were presented on the piano by the bride’s aunt, Patricia Nail McLeod.

Matron of honor was Amanda Milner Eaton of Brandon.

Bridesmaids were Christy Lofton Crawford, sister of the groom, of Okinawa, Japan; Sarah Ashley Casey of Liberty; Lindsey Morgan Se-grest of Clinton; and Jennifer Rotenberry Grantham, Alice Chaney Herndon, Crystal Evon Klar, Alicia Harrison Parker, Candace Marie Smith and Lauren Hughes Smith, all of Brandon.

Eric Allan Eaton of Brandon served as best man.

Groomsmen were Donald Wayne Crawford Jr., brother-in-law of the groom, of Okinawa; Waverley Conway Artz III of Starkville; Mitchell Spencer Beauman of Vicksburg; Stephen Bryce Creel of Forest; James Brian Herrington of Hattiesburg; Clint Kinkade McKissack of Moselle; Joshua Derrick Geter of Kennesaw, Ga.; Seth Martin Jacob Paridon of Mandeville, La.; and Jeremy Andrew Wolfe of Greenville, S.C.

Special wedding assistant was Bethan Williamson Walker.

A reception followed at The River Room in Flowood. Guests were entertained with music by the Jackson All Stars.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Negril, Jamaica. They will make their home in Mandeville.

The bride is a registered nurse at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La., and the groom is historian/curator at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Fairview Inn in Jackson. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

Marilyn Hughes hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon the day before the wedding at River Hills Club in Jackson. The bride chose this time to pre-sent gifts to her bridesmaids.

Showers

Janet and Steve Wagner of Vicksburg hosted a couples shower.

Becky Cross, Amanda Eaton, Chris Eaton, Alice Chaney Herndon, Pam Milner, Alison Schmitz, Lauren Smith and Bethany Walker honored the bride with a shower at the Milner home in Brandon.
