City man jailed in residential burglary

A Vicksburg man charged with breaking into an occupied apartment early Sunday morning was in the Warren County Jail today.

Tommy Hull, 43, 2015 Oak St., was arrested at 2:45 a.m. in the 1400 block of Hayes Street, said police Sgt. Sandra Williams.

Hull is accused of burglarizing a residence in the 1200 block of Hayes and taking an Xbox 360 valued at $200 and an MP3 player valued at $40, Williams said.

One resident was home at the time of the burglary and another was on his way home and caught Hull outside, said Williams.

Hull was being held without bond pending his initial appearing in court this morning.

Video games systems were targeted in other residential burglaries reported over the weekend.

A home in the 100 block of Ash Street was reported burglarized at 1:53 a.m. Saturday. Stolen was an Xbox 360 with controllers and assorted games valued at $800, a Samsung cell phone valued at $400 and a Nokia cell phone valued at $90.

Sunday at 2:35 a.m., two PlayStation 3 game consoles, six games, a 46-inch Samsung TV and a 32-inch Vizio TV and $30 to $40 in change were reported stolen from a home in the 1500 block of Ethel Street.
