The Mississippi River Commission will host an open house from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for public viewing and briefings of the MV Mississippi, which will be docked at City Front.

Based in Memphis, the inspection and work boat will stop in town en route to Natchez for the annual high-water inspection trip, on the Mississippi River during the spring high-water season.
