Mr. Pierce, Miss Corley are wed in Seminary

Paul Edward Pierce and Amanda Suzanne Corley were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 7, 2010, at Grace Outreach Church in Seminary, Miss. The Rev. Mike Davis officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Corley and the late Phillip Corley of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Nevels and the late Wayne Nevels of Vicksburg and the late Charlie and Dottie Corley of Augusta, Ga.

The groom is the son of Eddie and Sally Pierce of Seminary. He is the grandson of Edna Jean Aultman and the late James Aultman of Seminary and the late Eddie and Ruth Pierce of Petal.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father, Phillip Corley. Her chosen colors were white and olive green.

Music was presented by Kelly Shows, organist, and Kristi Mayfield, soloist.

Maid of honor was Dory Mims of Seminary. Bridesmaids were Kelsie Pierce and Kalie Pierce, daughters of the groom, and Alisa Smith, all of Seminary; Leslie Lawhun, cousin of the bride, of Baton Rouge; Dawn Martin of Sumrall; Kristi Mayfield, cousin of the groom, of Collins; and Elizabeth Ackley of Conroe, Texas.

Honorary bridesmaids were Irene Warren and Tracy Fisher, both of Huntsville, Texas. Billy Joe Lott of Seminary served as best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Corley, brother of the bride, of The Woodlands, Texas; and Tony Pierce, brother of the groom, Easton Pierce, son of the groom, Luke Pierce, nephew of the groom, and Sterling Craft, Chad Smith and Doug Knight, all of Seminary.

Honorary groomsmen were Joey Pickering of Seminary and the late Gary Pierce, brother of the groom who passed away in 2004. Flower girl was Jenna Greenwood, cousin of the bride, of Houston, Texas. Ring bearers were Cameron Corley, nephew of the bride, of The Woodlands and Nicholas Greenwood, cousin of the bride, of Houston.

A reception followed at Sterling’s in Seminary.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled on a cruise to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

They will make their home in Seminary. The bride is employed with the U.S. Federal Court, Southern District, and the groom is employed with Pierce Concrete Services.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Pierce hosted a rehearsal dinner at Sterling’s in Seminary.

Bachelorette party

The bridesmaids hosted a bachelorette party in Orange Beach, Ala.

Showers

Dory Mims and Alisa Smith hosted a couples shower.

The bride’s co-workers honored her with a miscellaneous shower.
