Willie Warnock Jr. died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his residence in Vicksburg. He was 80.

Mr. Warnock was a native of Cary and had lived in Vicksburg all his life. He owned and operated Warnock’s Service Center with his brother for 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and was a charter member of Russelville Hunting Club.

He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Albert and Pearl Hester Sibley Warnock; two brothers, Albert Warnock and Ernest Warnock; and two sisters, Mary Helen Webster and Mytrea Gordon.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Greer Warnock of Vicksburg; two sons, Barry Warnock and wife Brenda and Tony Warnock and wife Nancy, all of Vicksburg; four daughters, Denna Towne and husband Warren, Nancy Parker and husband Jeff and Christi Pritchett and husband David, all of Vicksburg, and Tamra King and husband Tony of Gilbert, La.; two sisters, Evelyn Sanderford of Rolling Fork and Elizabeth Wells of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Dwight Sibley and Ron Burch officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Kameron Hoover, Brent Towne, Chase Towne, Casey Towne, Brady Towne, Corey Hudson, Drew Warnock, Blake Warnock and Lance Warnock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleena Hoover, Kelsey Hudson, Brandi Pritchett, Haleigh Pritchett, Dana Warnock, Summer Hudson, Dr. James Hays Sr., Kay McDaniel, N.P., nephews and members of Russelville Hunting Club.
