Rep. Flaggs will lead caucus committee

State Rep. George Flaggs Jr., D-Vicksburg, has been named chairman of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators’ Gaming, Sports & Entertainment Policy Committee.
Flaggs had served as first vice chair of the committee. He replaces Morse Arberry, a former legislator from Nevada.
Flaggs has served in the Mississippi Legislature since 1988. He is chairman of the Banking and Financial Services committee, and a member of the Appropriations, Executive Contingent Fund, Gaming, Insurance, Investigate State Offices, Legislative Budget, Medicaid, and Public Health and Human Services committees.
