ROLLING FORK — Betty E. Bishop died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 75.
A native of Washington County, Mrs. Bishop lived in Rolling Fork for a number of years. She retired as owner and operator of Plantation View Restaurant in Rolling Fork. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Bishop; a sister, Christine Belieu; and two brothers, Bobby Boyd and Billy Boyd.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Hays of Rolling Fork and Kenneth Hays of Meadville; two daughters, Linda Winslow of Rolling Fork and Pamela Myshrall of Seminary; a brother, John S. Boyd of Anguilla; three sisters, Ann McPhail of Tallula, Miss., and Sue Golden and Shirley Nichols, both of Rolling Fork; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Rolling Fork with the Revs. Gary “Gabby” Hays and Millard L. Caulder officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be Brad Craddock, Mark Winslow, Kenneth “Pojo” Hays, Leon Hays, Wayne Myshrall and the Rev. Gary “Gabby” Hays.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Walker, Dr. Danny Jackson, Dr. Mehar Oad, Dr. Michael Baker and Henry Dorsey.
