NATCHEZ — Robyn Renee Johnson Switzer, 44, of Madison, formerly of Natchez, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Natchez. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Alan Kolodny officiating. Burial and graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wright & Ferguson Mausoleum in Madison under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight, April 1, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Switzer was born April 23, 1965, in Natchez to David Harland Johnson Sr. and Betty Sue Bearden Johnson. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Robyn worked in the Neuro-Trauma Department at University Medical Center in Jackson and also traveled to other states, working in hospital trauma units.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Frank Switzer; one brother, David H. Johnson Jr.; one stepsister, Raeanna Pullen; and her grandparents, Elmer and Elsie Bearden.

Survivors include two sons, James Conway III and John Zachary Conway, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Julia Mulder of Atlanta; one granddaughter, Ansley Brooke Conway of Vicksburg; her mother, Betty S. Bearden Pullen and stepfather, John Pullen of Natchez; one brother, Tim Johnson and wife Carolyn; one stepsister, Johanna Pullen, all of Natchez; two half sisters, Meg Johnson and Dana Johnson of Nashville; three stepchildren, Mary Franks, George Montgomery and John Exum Switzer of Starkville; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Tammy Abernathy and Shirley Edwards of Ferriday and Leanne Dyess of Oxford; and her beloved English bulldog, “Switzer’s Lord What a Mess.”

Honorary pallbearers will be Micky Hogue, Randy Blackwell, John Hughes, T.A. Burchfield, Layne Browning, Brad Fondren, Jim Fiorillo, Wayne Tullos, Will Alexander, Brady Garner, Tommy Porter and Spanky E. Felter.
