Morrison, Flynn to exchange vows April 24

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Russell Morrison III of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Elizabeth of New York, N.Y., to Patrick Charles Flynn, also of New York City. Mr. Flynn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Flynn of Larchmont, N.Y.
Miss Morrison is the granddaughter of Robert Russell Morrison Jr. and the late Martha Cooper “Twick” Morrison of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Garry Ronald Coleman of Rome, N.Y.
Mr. Flynn is the grandson of Katherine Jean Rutledge VanSlambrouck of San Jose, Calif., and the late Robert Romain VanSlambrouck of Sacramento, Calif., and the late James Hartigan Flynn and Lillian Gloria Flynn of San Leandro, Calif.
The bride-elect graduated with honors in 2001 from Vicksburg High School. She served as captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Key Club.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. She was on the dean’s list and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society, Order of Omega, Alpha Delta Sigma advertising honor society and Kappa Delta social sorority.
Miss Morrison is employed with J.Crew, where she is a merchant for direct channel of Crewcuts Girls.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Mamaroneck High School, where he served as president of the Student Council and captain of both the varsity soccer and varsity tennis teams. He was a member of the National Honor Society and received the George Washington University Math and Science Award.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in economics from Stanford University. He served as president of Theta Delta Chi social fraternity and was a member of the Stanford Club soccer team.
Mr. Flynn is an associate at Good Energies Inc. global investment company on renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The wedding will be at 6 p.m. April 24, 2010, in Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
