A crew with Meridian-based Mitchell Signs on Thursday replaces the Pemberton Square mall sign. The change is part of redevelopment that began last month with the purchase of the mall and the former Kroger building from Chattanooga, Tenn.,-based CBL & Associates by Houston, Texas-based Weiner Development. Pemberton Square is 25 years old. The former Kroger was owned by the grocery store chain and has been vacant since a move across the street in 2008.
