Amounts are relatively small, but area art and cultural organizations plan to translate state Mississippi Arts Commission grants into beneficial public programs.
Vicksburg’s Southern Cultural Heritage Center and Port Gibson’s Mississippi Cultural Crossroads, both nonprofit organizations, were each awarded a $21,750 grant, the second installments of two-year operating grants.
The amounts were determined by progress reports submitted by each organization, SCHF Executive Director Annette Kirklin said.
