The Tomato Festival Farmers’ Market in Crystal Springs will feature a record number of vendors at the festival on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
While the festival in years past has drawn an average of 15 to 18 vendors, this year’s event will feature at least 26 from Crystal Springs and the surrounding areas, including some from Vicksburg. Along with tomatoes, growers will offer watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, yellow squash, zucchini, bell peppers, hot peppers, okra, beans, Southern peas and cucumbers for sale.
Other items for sale will include herbs, jams, preserves, honey, salsa, pickles, boiled peanuts, potted plants, trees, cut flowers and bird houses.
Crystal Springs is 45 miles southeast of Vicksburg off Mississippi 27.
