7 sentenced in circuit court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Alonzo Anthony Adams, 32, 5319 Mississippi 27, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to two years in prison followed by two years of probation, plus a $1,000 fine and $322.50 in costs. Adams was arrested Feb. 24.
• Amanda Leigh Harris, 25, 4 Summit Ridge Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of precursor substances and was sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,000 fine and $1,122.50 in fees and costs. Harris was arrested Feb. 10.
• Corey Ray Maples, 34, 998 Redwood Road, Redwood, pleaded guilty to possession of precursor substances and was sentenced by Chaney to two years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections Intensive Supervision Program (house arrest) followed by five years of probation, plus a $5,000 fine and $622.50 in costs. Maples was arrested Dec. 3, 2008.
• Rebecca Ann Myles, 46, 337 Hughes St., Greenville, pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting and was sentenced by Chaney to the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $500 fine and $822.50 in fees and costs. Myles was arrested Nov. 13.
• Barry Wallace, 32, 1635 Crawford St., who pleaded guilty May 20 to robbery, was sentenced June 28 by Patrick to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus a $3,000 fine and $322.50 in costs. Wallace was arrested Feb. 6, 2008. His sentencing was reported this week due to delays in filing the judge’s order.
In Issaquena County Circuit Court:
• Dwight Bunton, 48, 2243 Willette Road, Mayersville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced by Patrick to three years of probation, plus a $3,000 fine and $322.50 in costs. Bunton was arrested April 20.
In Sharkey County Circuit Court:
• Jerry Brady Weed, 28, 135 S. Seventh St., Rolling Fork, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Patrick to the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,500 fine and $822.50 in fees and costs. Weed was arrested on May 27.
