Miss Abraham to marry Carlton

Dr. and Mrs. George Ellis Abraham II of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Helen “Gin Gin” of Oxford, to Frederick Barnett “Eric” Carlton III, also of Oxford. Mr. Carlton is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Barnett Carlton II of Jackson.

Miss Abraham is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Hill Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Ellis Abraham, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Carlton is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Eddins of Coldwater and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Barnett Carlton Sr. of Arkabutla.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of St. Aloysius High School.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in education from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority.

Miss Abraham is a junior kindergarten teacher at Oxford University School. 

The prospective groom is a 1997 graduate of Jackson Academy.

He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Mr. Carlton is a Realtor with Cherie Matthews Real Estate.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. March 27, 2010, at Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, Miss. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
