The City of Vicksburg Animal Shelter has been recognized for outstanding customer service with $500 from Maddie’s Fund and Petfinder.com.
Maddie’s Fund, a pet rescue foundation, operates a program in which secret shoppers call, e-mail or visit selected animal shelters. The aim is to gauge customer service.
The $500 “will go to treating the animals and to buying supplies,” said Eldridge Skinner of the city’s Animal Control Department.
The shelter is located at 100 Old Mill Road.
