A Vicksburg woman was charged Friday with uttering a forgery, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

LaShonda Woodson, 28, 1520 Marcus St., was picked up at her home at 1:48 p.m. for questioning about a forged $250 check that was cashed Sept. 8 at Mutual Credit Union on Cherry Street, Stewart said. She was formally arrested about two hours later, he said.

Woodson was later released from the Warren County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail Friday night for a drug court violation. William D. Smith, 47, 100 Chance Lane, was being held without bond.
