Daisy E. Sterling died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at her home. She was 89.

Mrs. Sterling was a member of Calvary M.B. Church and was retired from the Vicksburg School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sterling; her daughter, Barbara Stampley; and a sister, Dorothy Williams.

She is survived by a daughter, Bennie Louise Miller; a sister, Roberta Scott of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Jackie Leon Miller.
