Earnest Evans

PORT GIBSON — Earnest Evans died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2009, at University Medical Center in Jackson from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 37.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Aileen Brown-Evans of Lorman; one son, DaQuan Jackson of Lorman; five daughters, LaFaith Evans, KiErykah Evans, Audreania Jackson, Keyona Evans and Alexis D. Johnson, all of Lorman; father, Earnest Evans Sr. of Hermanville; five brothers, Sylvester Hicks of Atlanta, Michael Evans, Antonio Evans, Tyrone Hicks and Randy Evans, all of Hermanville; five sisters, Annette Evans of Fayette, and Emma Evans, Roshunda Evans, Helen Hicks and Angela Evans, all of Hermanville; one grandson, Daylen Jackson of Port Gibson; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Port Gibson with Pastor Maxine Newton of Full Gospel Ministries in Union Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. Frank McGriggs. Burial will be at Carbondale Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge.
