Three Vicksburg teens have been charged with jumping on a train and stealing merchandise after the train stopped because a man walking on the tracks had been “bumped” by the train.
William Delane Walker, 17, 1413 Hayes St., Rondeshello Deon Dotson, 17, 1628 Crawford St., and a 16-year-old boy are charged with grand larceny of a train, said Lt. Bobby Stewart. He said the three jumped onto the train near Holly and Cherry streets and threw more than $500 in items from freight cars.
The teens were arrested at the Vicksburg police headquarters after going there for questioning.
Dotson was released from the Warren County Jail Wednesday on $17,000 bond, Walker remained in the Issaquena County Jail on a $17,000 bond and the juvenile was in custody of the Warren County Youth Court.
The man who was hit by the train Saturday night was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a spokesman said.
