The last half of the school year, pending no winter weather cancellations, is set to begin Thursday for students in the Vicksburg Warren School District. Those who need remediation began intercession classes Monday. Some important dates:

Nine weeks 

• Third — Thursday-March 12

• Fourth — March 18-May 28

Intercession

• Began Monday; wraps up today

• March 15-17

• June 1-4

Holidays

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Jan. 18

• Good Friday/Easter/spring break — April 2-9

Graduations

• Vicksburg High — May 27

• Warren Central — May 28 (60 percent day)

Other schools

• Classes resumed Monday for Porters Chapel Academy and Vicksburg Community School students. Vicksburg Catholic School students resumed Tuesday.

• PCA’s graduation is set for May 15; Vicksburg Community School for May 22; and VCS’ St. Aloysius for May 29.
