Mr. and Mrs. Brett L. Oleis of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Kristen, to Ryan Cooper McBride. Mr. McBride is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warner F. McBride of Batesville.

Miss Oleis is the granddaughter of Helen Johnson of Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Butler of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Oleis of Utica.

Mr. McBride is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McBride Jr. of Batesville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace Necaise Jr. of Pass Christian.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Cleveland High School. She attends Delta State University, where she is studying athletic training.

The prospective groom is a graduate of South Panola High School and Delta State University, where he studied commercial aviation. He is employed by Pinnacle Airlines of Memphis.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 7, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
