Nellie Brown Johnson died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 94.

A housewife, Mrs. Johnson was a member of Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church of Fayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Brown and Carrie Montgomery.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosie L. Harris and Debra Ann Johnson, both of Vicksburg; one brother, A.J. Brown of Lorman; three sisters, Mosie Haywood of Fayette, Lillie Cook of Lorman and Mable Sims of Chicago; a granddaughter and great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church with the Rev. E. Charles Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
