Carolyn Gibson Montgomery

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Carolyn Gibson Montgomery, 73, passed away Feb. 21, 2010, at Hospice of the Ozarks-Hospice House.
Carolyn was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Lake Providence, La., to Claude F. Gibson Sr. and Elois Pippen Gibson. She and Gordon Montgomery were married in 1964. Carolyn graduated from Indianola High School in June of 1955. She worked for many years for Delta airlines as a flight attendant, reservation agent and ticket agent. After retiring from Delta, she and Gordon moved from Edwards to Mountain Home.
Survivors include one brother, Claude F. Gibson Jr. (Brenda) of Alabama; one nephew, Kevin F. Gibson (Rhonda) of Indiana; one sister-in-law, Shirley Montgomery Williams (Jim) of Sun City, Fla., and their three sons and families; one aunt, Johnnie Lou Pippen Grossman of Mississippi; and many cousins. Wesley Pippen of Tallulah is a special cousin who spent much time in Mountain Home with Carolyn after she was diagnosed with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
