Mr. and Mrs. Billy Higginbotham of Lena announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Dianne of Laurel, to Richard Blake Boykin. Mr. Boykin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Boykin of Laurel and Mr. and Mrs. John Reeves of Meridian.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of West Jones High School. She received a fashion marketing degree in 2009 from Jones County Junior College.

Miss Higginbotham is a teller at Central Sunbelt Federal Credit Union in Laurel.

The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of West Jones High School. He received a degree in electronics/robotics in 2010 from Jones County Junior College.

Mr. Boykin is a research and development technician at Howard Industries in Laurel.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. June 5, 2010, at Oakland Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
