On Dec. 1, The Vicksburg Post offered excellent coverage of the Vicksburg Theatre Guild’s current production, “tuesdays with Morrie.” The Post staff is to be congratulated on a superb article and photographs. The highly entertaining play is one every Vicksburger needs to see.

Often, letters to the editor present undue criticism and too little praise for good reporting. In this case, the Post needs a “standing ovation” for its continuing support of the cultural and artistic endeavors and productions in the city.

It is refreshing in today’s fast-moving society of sound bites and scant cliff-note news to see a newspaper bring local information to its readers. The story was a perfect example of first-class journalism and I thank you.
