CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Kennie Rogers, formerly of Itta Bena, Miss., died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in Chula Vista, Calif. He was 55.

Mr. Rogers graduated from Mississippi Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Survivors include his wife, Constance Boykins Rogers of Chula Vista; two daughters, Brittani Rogers of Chula Vista and Rhonda Bliss of Atlanta; a son, Brandon Rogers of Chula Vista; a brother; four sisters; and the Boykins family of Vicksburg.

Services were today at Glen Abbey Mortuary in Bonita, Calif. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dean’s Memorial Funeral Home of Brandon.
