Electronics hot in weekend burglaries

Electronics with a total value of $3,598 were reported stolen in three weekend burglaries, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
Two Redford Fosgate speakers in a Super Base box valued at $503 were reported stolen at 8:51 p.m. Saturday from a 2010 Jeep Patriot at Vicksburg Mall, 3505 Pemberton Square, Stewart said.
A Hewlett Packard laptop valued at $1,795 and an Apple laptop valued at $800 were reported stolen at 4:16 a.m. Sunday from a room at the Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington St., Stewart said. About 17 hours later, he said, a Sony CD/DVD player valued at $500 was reported stolen at about 9:23 p.m. from a Ford E-450 van parked in the 1000 block of Cherry Street.
