JACKSON — Alma Rae Embry died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in Vicksburg. She was 89.

Mrs. Embry was born in Crystal Springs to Carl and Lena Walker Brock. She was a longtime member of Alta Woods Baptist Church in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wiley Embry.

She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Stepan and Barbara Easley; one brother, Maurice V. Brock; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life was at 11 a.m. today at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson. Interment followed at Lakewood South Memorial Park.
