John Surratt has joined The Vicksburg Post as a reporter.

He comes to Vicksburg from McComb, where he worked for the McComb Enterprise-Journal for four years, covering police and city and county government.

Before moving to McComb, he worked for 10 years with The Mississippi Press in Pascagoula, covering courts, the military and area business.

Surratt grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Marcia, have one daughter, Kimberly.
