Over the course of the season, Southern Miss pitcher Geoffrey Thomas has proven he doesn’t need a lot of run support to be successful. On Saturday, he got it whether he liked it or not.

Adam Doleac and Isaac Rodriguez each had three hits and three RBIs, and the Golden Eagles blew the game open with seven runs in the fourth inning to rout UAB 13-4 in Hattiesburg.

Southern Miss scored all of its runs in a three-inning span covering the third, fourth and fifth. Doleac cleared the bases with a triple in the third inning to put Southern Miss ahead 3-0.
