A 2001 Dodge pickup in the 100 block of Second North Street was damaged early Thursday when someone fired shots at it, Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

Williams said a neighbor called police about the shooting at 3:09 p.m. Thursday. He told police he had been awakened by shots at about 3 a.m., but checked outside and saw nothing suspicious. He said he walked outside about 9 a.m., and found shell casings on the ground and a bullet hole in his neighbor’s truck.
