Mr. McMillin, Miss Lo recite vows in Natchez

David McMillin and Grace Lo, both of Oakland, Calif., were married at 6 p.m. April 9, 2011, at Dunleith in Natchez. The Rev. Michael Nation officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fu Lung Wha of Hong Kong.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. F. Lamar McMillin Jr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. F. Lamar McMillin Sr. of Little Rock, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard Ellingson of Milaca, Minn.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were fuchsia, pink, green and white.

Music, presented under the coordination of Dorothy Brasfield, was by Kelly Toney, violin I; Jennifer Cassin, violin II; James Hanna, viola; Daniel Cassin, cello; John Madere, bass; and Rebecca Todaro, harp.

Maids of honor were Karen Ho of Hong Kong and Megan Maynord of Dallas, Texas. Junior bridesmaid was Madeline Peters of Mora, Minn.

Honorary bridesmaids were Ashley Moomaw of Jackson and Jennifer Lynne McMillin of Vicksburg.

Flower girls were Audrey Peters and Grace Peters, both of Mora.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsman was Russell Markle of Jackson.

Ushers were Charles Moomaw of Jackson and Stephen McMillin of Vicksburg.

A reception followed the ceremony. Guests were entertained with music by Swingaroux of New Orleans.

The couple will honeymoon later this year in Spain and Portugal.

They will make their home in Oakland, where the bride is employed with the California Department of Transportation and the groom is employed with Cary Bernstein Architect.

Brunch

A farewell brunch was held the day after the wedding in the courtyard at Dunleith. Guests were entertained with music by Bill “Howl-N-Madd” Perry and his blues band from Indianola.

Lunch

A barbecue lunch for family and friends of the bride and groom was held at Weymouth Hall in Natchez.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Castle Restaurant at Dunleith on the eve of the wedding. Guests were entertained with music by Ned Fasullo & the Fabulous Big Band Orchestra of Baton Rouge.

Shower

The couple was honored with a shower hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moomaw, sister and brother-in-law of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen McMillin, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, at the Nogales House in Vicksburg.
