Vicksburg keeper Taylor Brocato stopped the sixth penalty kick by Warren Central, then Jordan Watson won it when his effort sailed into the net as the Gators beat Warren Central and clinched a playoff berth.

The loss denied a repeat playoff bid for WC (12-4, 2-2), which won the division title last year.

Vicksburg (8-8-3, 4-2 Division 4-6A) won the shootout 5-4 after a thrilling back-and-forth overtime.

Tied at 1 at the end of regulation, WC grabbed a 2-1 lead with 3:52 left in the first overtime when Chandler Bounds scored off a one-on-one break. The Vikings could not make the lead stick.
