Judge Weaver

Judge Weaver died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at the Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 84.

Mr. Weaver was born in Sulligent, Ala., and had lived in Vicksburg most of his life, retiring from International Paper Co. He as a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army, and he was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gay Marie Weaver of Vicksburg; two daughters, Judy Kalifia of San Diego and Mary Gail Saltzman of Vicksburg; three sons, Samuel Weaver of Logan’s Port, La., and Darrel Dean Kirkley and Arch Milton Kirkley, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Azale Vodenal of Grand Junction, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Weaver, Archie Kirkley, Darrel Kirkley, Keith Hennis, Bobby Mullen, Dustin Kirkley, Jim Sharp and William “Billy” Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Russell Barnes and current and past employees of International Paper Co.
