MILWAUKEE — Elijah Crockett Jr. died Monday, June 6, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 64.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elijah Crockett Sr.; and his brother, Samuel Kline.

Survivors include his children Gary D. Crockett of Huntsville, Ala., Vonda Crockett of Tallulah, Darryl Crockett of Birmingham, Ala., Anthony Crockett of Las Vegas, Trena Marie Bass of California and Elonda Nicole Logan of Fresno, Calif.; his mother, Mary L. Washington of Tallulah; his stepmother, Mary Crockett of Chicago; his siblings, Priest Crockett, Felton Washington and Umar Mohammad, all of Tallulah, Diane Webster of Yazoo City, Roosevelt Washington of San Antonio, Texas, Cathy Beets and Annie Gray, both of Las Vegas, Annette Littlejohn of Homestead, Fla., Martha Johnson of Savannah, Ga., and Clarence Crockett, Michael Crockett, Ray A. Crockett, Rose M. Crockett, Doris Crockett, Linda Crockett, Rita Crockett, Estella Crockett and Denise Crockett all of Chicago; numerous grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Colored Baptist Church in Tallulah. Burial will follow at Mound Project Cemetery with Beckwith Golden Gate Funeral Home in charge. Repast will be at 1:30 p.m. at Wright Elementary School.
