Annie Mae Honorable died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at her residence. She was 71.

Mrs. Honorable was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a mother of the church and a former usher.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Mae Russell; her father, Sim Lee; a sister, Sara Gaines; a brother, Leon Lee; and her maternal grandmother, Irma Russell.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Powell and Ruben Powell, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Dora Powell Washington of Chicago; her sister, Estelle Donerson of Fairburn, Ga.; a grandson, DeRon J. Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services are to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Interment shall follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a visitation hour from 6 to 7 tonight in the chapel.
