PORT GIBSON — Karl Wilson died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Port Gibson. He was 66.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Julia Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Wilson of Port Gibson; two sons, Brandon Wilson and David A. Wilson, both of Chicago; a daughter, Alodia Woods of Chicago; six brothers, Alfred Wilson Jr. of Chicago and Johnnie Wilson, Eddie Wilson, Soloman Wilson, Larry Wilson and Raymond Wilson, all of Port Gibson; three sisters, Barbara Johnson of Port Gibson, Agnes Wilson of Washington, D.C., and Catherine Neil of Maryland; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Brandon Russell of Huntsville, Ala.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Magnolia M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Revs. Hugh Johnson and James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson with family hour from 6 until 7 and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
