King, McAlister are married in Brandon

Colby James King and Christie Antoinette McAlister were married at 2 p.m. March 5, 2011, at River of Life Assembly of God in Brandon. Pastor David Warren and the bride’s father officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Connie McAlister of McComb. She is the granddaughter of Tom Loveless and the late Magdalene Loveless of Brookhaven and Emmit McAlister and the late Ann McAlister of Baton Rouge.
The groom is the son of Steve and Paula Jones of Memphis. He is the grandson of Bill and Gale Davis of Memphis and Lee and Carolyn Daniel of Olive Branch.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were ivory, champagne and brown.
Matron of honor was Natalie Parnell of Midland City, Ala. Bridesmaids were Angelia McAlister of Terry; Ashley Jones of Memphis; Chelsea Torrence of Pearl; and Erica Garcia, Ann Marie Smith and Tamika Wray, all of Ridgeland.
Eric Wassilak of Jackson served as best man. Groomsmen were Rickey McAlister of Terry; Anthony Boone of Memphis; Christopher Smith of Ridgeland; Patrick Munn of Canton; Anthony Anderson of Brandon; and Kevin Crawford and Bobby Thornton, both of Madison.
Serving as the bride’s proxy was Angela Smith of Brookhaven.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Cool Water Cafe in Ridgeland. Guests were entertained with music by Will and Linda Pleasants.
Special wedding assistants were Jon and Nora Scott.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled on a six-day cruise to Mexico. They will make their home in Flowood.
The bride is employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi, and the groom is employed by Mint Restaurant.
Rehearsal dinner
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for the bridal party at Reservoir Pointe.
