State inmate Marium Anton Smith escaped today from the Issaquena County/Regional Correctional Facility at approximately 9 a.m.

Smith, 31, is 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Authorities are searching for Smith who is serving a 25-year sentence from Montgomery County for two counts of armed robbery. Smith was last seen wearing MDOC black and white striped pants and white shirt with MDOC Convict printed on the back.
