Frankie Viola Wamble

Frankie Viola Wamble died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 96.
Mrs. Wamble was a native of Troy. She lived and attended school in Una. She spent most of her life in Greenville and Vicksburg. She worked for many years at King’s Daughters Hospital in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Bryant Wamble; sisters, Edna Potnick and Bernice Chidlress; brothers, J.B. Tunnell, Leota Tunnell and Samuel Tunnell; granddaughter, Vicki Wamble; father, Frank Burkett Tunnell; and mother, Bessie Marie Lawson Wamble.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Wamble of Milton, Fla., and Henry Wamble of Vicksburg; a sister, Joyce Sue Sistrunk of Maryville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Minister Joey Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
