HOLLY BLUFF — Annie Lois Childress Sharbrough died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 81.

Mrs. Sharbrough was a native of Satartia, where she attended Satartia Central High School and Whitworth College High School Department. She also attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She was a member of the Holly Bluff United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ethyl Byrd Childress, a brother, Samuel Hall Childress Jr., a son, Samuel Sharbrough and a grandson, Samuel Sharbrough Jr.

Survivors include her husband, W.C. (Red) Sharbrough; a son, William C. Sharbrough III; a daugher-in-law, Linda LeMoine Sharbrough; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
