Larell Delvin “Del” Rowell Jr., 49, of Vicksburg, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at his home.

Del was an avid sportsman. He had a special love for his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Larell Delvin Rowell Sr., his daughter, Jessica Lynn Rowell, granddaughter Sarah Kay Lynn Rowell and his sister Melanie Poole.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Rowell; mother, Frances Marble; father, Everett “Pappy” Marble; mother-in-law, Birtie Muirhead; son Delvin Rowell; daughter, Jennifer Hartley (Ricky); sister, Sandra Mathes (Harvey); brother, Wayne Rowell (Bobbie); and grandchildren, Chasity Bevill, Nathan Rowell, Angelina and Kyrina Wright, and Shelby Hartley.

Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Misskelley, Trey Mathes, Bubba Thompson, Alonzo Austin, Allen Neal, Hunnie Gaskin, Allen and Lee Brown, Smith Road Community, John Benard, Special Aunt Floyce Hall, Robert Cheatwood and very special brother Sonny Richardson.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in his memory at his home, 103 Alice Place, Vicksburg, with Father Mark Bleakley officiating.
