The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District has received a certificate of accomplishment for exceeding the goal for awarding contracts to disabled veteran-owned small businesses in 2010.

The Vicksburg District awarded contracts to 15 disabled veteran-owned companies in the areas of construction, equipment supplies and administrative services, a release from the District said.

Tracy L. Pinson, director of the small business programs with the Secretary of the Army, presented the certificate to district representatives on Dec. 1 at the Society of American Military Engineers Small Business Conference in National Harbor, Md.
